Creating Loving Relationships
To create loving relationships, we need to start by evaluating our own relationship with ourselves.
How are we loving and honoring ourselves? Are we constantly judging and putting ourselves down?
Are we so hard on ourselves, that in our eyes, we can’t do anything right? If this is so, there
is a big possibility this is also how we are treating others around us.
Let’s start by embracing who you are. Give yourself a break and decide that today
is a new beginning for how you see and treat yourself. Today, know that where you are
in life is exactly where you’re supposed to be. Today you let go of the past.
Let go of yesterday’s mistakes. Let go of what you didn’t accomplished. Let go of guilt,
self condemnation, and fears, so that you can close that door of the past and start new.
Slow down and enjoy the moment.
Once you start loving and embracing yourself, you will find it much easier to love and embrace
everyone else. It will be much easier to be compassionate and forgiving.
Here are a few things to try:
. Look for the good qualities in your spouse, partner, mother, father, kids, and everyone else,
including each of your employees or your boss. This will work much better than always pointing
out faults and mistakes of others.
. Appreciate even the little things anyone does for you. Appreciation opens the door to people
appreciating you as well. Be verbal about your appreciation of them.
. Try to love without conditions or expectations. This will save you from being disappointed.
How can you be disappointed when you have no expectations of others? Do everything out of love.
Forgive and forget. Do not get stuck in the past.
. Always remember, you cannot change anyone. You can only change yourself. When you change yourself,
your world “will” change. This is a Law of this Universe.
At this end of this lifetime, we review our lives based on how loving we were, how compassionate,
how forgiving. It’s all about relationships with ourselves and others. At the end, we are here to
remember we are all One. Nothing else will matter much.
